History trip to Warsaw and Gdansk October 2017

In October half term the Year 12 and Year 13 went on a history department trip to Warsaw and Gdańsk in Poland. This trip was focused on our A-Level units on the Cold War and Russian Empire, and was also a chance for us to sample another culture.

During the trip we had the opportunity to see the Palace of Culture and uprising museum in Warsaw, and the shipyards where the Solidarity movement began in Gdańsk. We also got to spend time with our friends in two beautiful cities.

This was another great History department trip, and is also great for coining the term ‘swagillicious’.

Did we have a great time? Yes we did.
