This week we are focusing on developing critical learning and thinking skills and extending the most able.

Extension resources:

To date, four A level students have completed residential educational courses through the Villiers Park ‘Inspiring Excellence programme’ in Law: Interdisciplinary Issues, Neuroscience and the Brain and Latin American and Spanish History in preparation for undergraduate study. Villiers Park also offers a broad and interesting range of extension materials covering an array of subject areas to inspire and challenge KS5 students. There is also a section for KS4 Modern Foreign Languages which we would like to share with you. These resources enable students to develop wider knowledge and understanding, confidence and independent learning skills. Consider how you might use them as alternative class, homework or independent assignments – remember that differentiation for the most able should provide new learning opportunities rather than ‘extra’ pieces of work.
